KG Crown is an American independent pop-rock artist, singer-songwriter, and producer.
She began her career at the age of four as a model with Ford Models, appearing in advertising campaigns worldwide. At seven, she formed the sibling band Good Kicks with her three older brothers, where she trained in piano, guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and musical theater. In Nashville, Tennessee, the band collaborated with Grammy Award-winning songwriters and producers, distributed music to more than 18,000 churches, and later signed a deal with Nickelodeon.
At age 12, KG launched her solo career as KG Crown, relocating to Los Angeles and building a substantial online following. Influenced by pop, K-pop, and hip-hop at the time, she released the singles "Bad," "Gimme That," and "Eeny Meeny Miny Mo" in 2021, followed by "Picture Perfect Love" and "Porcelain Queen" in 2022. During this time, she partnered with The Trevor Project and used her platform to advocate for anti-bullying, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and mental health awareness.
In 2022, KG competed on the K-pop survival show A2K (America 2 Korea), where she placed second in the finale. At age 15, she signed with JYP Entertainment and Republic Records, becoming a member of the global girl group VCHA. She underwent intensive training through the K-pop system before making her official debut with VCHA in January 2024.
With VCHA, KG released the pre-debut project "SeVit (New Light)," featuring the breakout single "Y.O.Universe," which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Trending Songs chart and topped YouTube's worldwide music trending chart. The group officially debuted with "Girls of the Year" in 2024 and later released the single "Only One." VCHA performed on major Korean music programs, was recognized by the Recording Academy as one of its 2024 "Noteworthy Artists," opened for TWICE's Ready to Be World Tour across the United States, Brazil, and Mexico, and appeared on MTV's Fresh Out Live.
In 2025, KG parted ways with JYP Entertainment and Republic Records and began her next chapter as an independent pop-rock artist. Now fully independent, she has taken creative control of her artistry, writing and producing her own music while studying Music Production and Music Business at Berklee College of Music.
In 2026, ahead of her official solo debut, KG began sharing guitar solos on social media, where her musicianship was recognized by Fender. Her guitar playing led to her becoming an official Fender Artist and joining the Fender family. As her artistry continues to evolve, the electric guitar has become a defining element of KG's sound and identity, reflecting her transition into guitar-driven pop-rock.
In late 2026, KG launched CROWN WITHIN ME, a real-time documentary series following her journey around the world as she chases her dream of becoming a global music artist. The series captures the highs, lows, challenges, sacrifices, and triumphs of building a career independently, while offering an intimate look at the person behind the artist. Guided by her faith, strength, courage, and resilience, KG's journey reflects the deeper meaning behind the series: that what defines her isn't something she wears, but what she carries within.
Throughout her career, KG has appeared on the covers of Teen Vogue, Revamp, and Gmaro magazines and has been featured in publications including Dazed, Nylon, Rolling Stone, Billboard, People, J-14, Grazia, and Vanity Teen. Her story has also been covered by the Los Angeles Times, the Korea Times, the Korea Herald, and the Times of India, earning her an international audience as both an artist and global performer.
